New Orleans–Inspired Restaurant Design | Atlanta, GA

Where Brand Identity Meets Immersive Hospitality Design

Inspired by the mysterious charm of Louisiana’s bayous and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans, Blake’s Oyster Bar in Atlanta, Georgia, is a one-of-a-kind dining destination where every design element tells a story.

Designed by Contemporary LUX, this restaurant blends sophisticated industrial architecture with organic textures, dramatic lighting, and bespoke furnishings to create an immersive guest experience.

At the heart of the space, a striking indoor tree installation evokes the atmosphere of the Louisiana swamps. Sculptural glass pendants resemble glowing fireflies. While statement chandeliers by Currey & Company complement the industrial architecture, while custom alligator-inspired light fixtures, fabricated in Canada, introduce an unexpected touch of personality.

The restaurant’s identity is woven directly into its design. Custom bar stools feature intricate, double-layered metal backrests incorporating the establishment’s oyster-shaped logo. As a result, functional furniture becomes a distinctive branding element.

The design also features oyster shell-inspired wall sconces, alligator-textured wallcoverings, and custom industrial dining tables. Atmospheric lantern lighting further reinforces the New Orleans-inspired concept.

Meanwhile, rich green upholstery, botanical installations, and illuminated wine displays introduce warmth and visual depth. Carefully layered materials bring these elements together, creating a cohesive and memorable interior.

More than a restaurant interior, this project demonstrates Contemporary LUX’s approach to hospitality design: creating memorable destinations where branding is not simply displayed—it is built into the environment.

Every detail serves a purpose, contributing to a cohesive visual identity and an unforgettable dining experience.
